Idle working opposite

In morning startups or anytime really with startups the Idle tends to approx 900...but when engine warm the idle goes up to 1000rpm exactly. Any ideas...its costing me a fortune in wasted diesel [:D]

I dont really know as I am a XM man, but there have been several other posts on the subject recently. I wouldn't worry about the extra fuel, at tickover this would be negligible.
