Rev Counter

Not a major issue, but rev counter suddenly started to show 250rpm when engine not even running ? respond as normal once up and running.
Time for a clean and some lube ? Never had to play with this bit before, so where would i be looking ?

I have a spare here off a car I have just had crushed. You can have it for a token amount and post if that helps. Best of luck in repairing it though. Usually on these the fault is the electronics, more so with the speedo which again is electrically driven.
