Xantia mirror disaster

Post by KevMayer »

I reversed my Xantia today through a narrow gap between some safety fencing. Only going very slow but caught my LH (passenger side) mirror and it broke clean off. Hanging by the wire/cable.
Does anyone know of a good Citroen breaker in the midlands where I can get a cheap replacement mirror ?
cheers
Kev

Hi there,
I had the same thing when some low life broke my mirror. Instead of buying a new one and having them do it again i SUPERGLUED the bits back together. This is still holding well after 6 months. So may be worth a try.
Cheers, Mark

Electric or manual? ( which also has cables). Have you tried E Bay? I might be able to help.

superglue is not such a good idea as you are supposed to use water to become UNSTUCK in the event of accidents (its easier than loosing skin).
I am going to do the rounds of the scrapies tomorrow as I had a similar accident but no amount of glue will help

Thanks everybody,
I'll give Midland Citroen a try. I know Wednesbury quite well.
