Hi there.
An embarrassing first post, as today my '94 TD SX Xantia decided to roll-off on it's own. Luckily it was in my father in laws drive, and even more luckily his new X-Trail stopped it going into a hedge.. At times like these you find out a lot about tolerance levels. Nobody hurt though. My father in law swears he will never park near another Xantia. Should be interesting, as we live in France.
Anyway. For the past couple of weeks I've had to adopt a morning ritual of pumping the fuel priming bulb to get reliable starting. I've read on this forum of air leaks before, and have checked the obvious areas. Apart from the the leak-off's and the filter seals, are there any favourite places to look?

Sometimes the priming bulb is ko'ed but on my XTD i had starting
problems on morning starts. It turned out to be the fuel filter housing leaking ,air was getting through there..A complete un it
was expensive, so i removed the primimg bulb and filter housing
and fitted a combined pump and fiter housing from a Jap car, it
starts once every morning now, even the filter is cheaper but i
change it every 10K km...no need to replace priming pump always..

Thanks all.
I'm working backwards from the leak-offs, as they are a reasonably priced place to start. I'll be changing the filter seal next. I have to leave it overnight between mods to see if it works.
Also, I've just found a very useful pump and seals specialist locally who seems to stock every size and shape of 'o'ring ever made. Unfortunately no cheaper than Citroen though.
