Head bolts - TU engine

Head bolts - TU engine

I am just changing the head gasket on a 1360 petrol TU engine (iron block). Should I use new head bolts? Haynes is a little vague on this matter.

Headbolts are torqued until they stretch a wee bit.
- but they can only stretch once in their life.
Meaning there is a fair risc they snap if you re-use the old bolts.

Thanks - I'll order some new bolts with the HG kit!
