Some of you have emailed me questioning why some topics are locked, or moved.
There can be several reasons why the Admin or Moderators will look a topic. For example:
1) It’s a “repost” of a subject that has been discussed recently
2) The topic has gone on for several pages and is being kept alive for no good reason.
3) The Topic is in the wrong Forum
4) Advice given in the topic is incorrect, misleading, dangerous or offensive.
5) It's a waste of my Bandwidth.
Remember that when you applied to join the Forum as a Member, you were required to read then accept our Privacy Statement, which clearly states:
<i><b>We are authorised by you to remove or modify any data submitted by you to these forums for any reason we feel constitutes a violation of our policies, whether stated, implied or not.</b></i>
Wherever possible when locking a Topic, we will make a post advising why it has been locked. Please remember that the Forum is primarily about giving advice with regards to the repair and maintenance of French cars. Please also bear in mind that we have to meet the bandwidth costs of running the Forum.
