???? LOST IN TRANSLATION ????

Post by ACTIVE8 »

Well this is what came up when surfing ebay for activa.
Seems the item has been "lost in translation."
Odd thing is it's listed for worldwide sale, but the language of ????[?]???? is difficult to understand.

I opted for far eastern character sets when I installed windows, in fact I checked all of the options, obviously a questionable auction.

I think it's some enterprising Chinese gentleman spamming all car owners on e-Bay. If you go to his "e-Bay Store" you find he's got 2 pages of these and each has a list of car names (in English) attached to them.
They all have FIR which is apparently 'Far Infra Red' and to me it looks like a piece of wire that attaches to a car aerial possibly a supposed Radar jammer I would suspect.
