Xantia Indicator Stalk

Post by RichardW »

Well, at least I've got a 'spare' car if I need it at the moment...!
Started with the chattering flasher relay this morning. Wiggled the stalk a bit, and it went away [8D]. Came round the roundabout off the M9, bit of chattering, bit of wiggling, bit of smoke from switch [}:)]. Only smoked the once, and only for a couple of seconds, but I guess replacement is on the cards. Presumably repair is out of the question as this carries about 6 functions?
I'm just physching myself up to phone Citroen for a price....[xx(] (Not worth fitting a second hand once in case it's as bad)
Unless...wooo hooo GSF do it [:D][:D]
I needed an inside job for the weekend, as the weather forecast is rubbish for the weekend!

Needed one for my Xantia last year, wouldn't latch indicating left. Just over £40 from GSF Derby.

They come up quite often on e-bay if you need to save a few quid.

I dismantled and repaired mine to fix the indicator relay chatter.
Debateable whether it's worth it though, you need a lot of patience.
Took me a full afternoon.
