anti sink

Post by norbz »

I have just bought an N reg 1.9 diesel Xantia. The rear spheres are in need of replacment but before I purchase new ones, I would like to be sure as to wether the car is an anti sink model or not. I have not been able to tell if the car has the anti sink valve as the Haynes manual (In all of it's infinite wisdom) does not say what the unit looks like, or where it may be found!
The car does lift up when the engine is started but never seems to sink as low as most Xantia's that I have seen. If it is any help, the car is a very basic model with no electric windows even.
Does anyone out there know where this valve lives?

All Citroen Zantias that are fitted with the anti-sink feature are fitted with a centre sphere on the rear subframe. The anti-sink valve is bolted on below this sphere and has several steel pipes coming out of it

Spanners (or anyone else)
Is that where it is on the Xm as well? (on the sphere at the rear, and under the LHM tank at the front?)
