bought the xantia

Post by Bodger »

Bought the xantia tonight. When I got home remembered that the suspension height when changed altered more quickly at the rear of the car still looked level at the end. Checked all the things I was advised to they were OK. Mind you the pushing on the bonnet bit it took a bit of a push or maybe I am a wimp! test drivrn again and the ride was quite smooth. It passed its mot yesterday so I suppose suspension problemswould have shown up then. and will have a service tomorrow.
Thanks for all the invaluable advice on here. what a great site.

Congratulations and welcome to the world of motoring without spring's.
The rear on a Xantia goes up first and comes down last because its lighter than the front.

Congratulations and welcome to the fold!
Just a word of advice, the majority of MOT testers have absolutely no idea at all of how Citroën suspension works - so don't count on them finding anything wrong with it!
