Xantia Rear hub assembly.

Post by adzbaby »

Hi all,
On the Xantia MKI, is the rear hub assembly an independent, removable part from the rear arm or is it incorpporated into the arm?
Wanted to know because I have removed a rear arm before annd instead on the hex bolts that were illustrated in the BOL, it was attached to the chassis with Torx Bolts which were inaccessible, and I had to hacksaw off part of the chassis for access, the whole thing was horrible (it was on a car I was scrapping).
Many thanks
Adam.

I think you can remove the hub from the arm, but it ruins the bearing, and the bearing is only available with the hub attached (although I think AlanS changed a BX one, which is supposed to be the similar design). I thought the torx bolts were where the roll bar attached to the trailing arm. Perhaps not! Should be able to remove the trailing arm by undoing the big bolt that goes through the infamous trailing arm bearings.
