ABS Light

Post by red »

Having recently replaced one of the rear hubs on my 96 TD xantia with a non ABS type the ABS light is now illuminated on the dash.Is there any way apart from removing the bulb of extingushing this light. This is only a short time solution until I locate a proper hub.Any ideas, RED.

Sorry should have mentioned that with the fuse in place the light only lights after a couple of miles but since I removed the fuse the light is on all the time, very annoying.

Removing the relay doesn't work on the xm, not sure about the Xantia though.

It's a green relay under that plastic cover just behind the battery. Depending on the exact fault with the ABS this will either kill the light...or not! Only takes seconds so worth a try.
