Td fuel pump wiring (Xantia)

Post by Gavin1 »

I have a '95 Xantia Td fitted with a Bosch fuel pump. The electrical connections consist of a pinned socket, presuming one of these is a 12v supply for the solenoid, what voltage should the other pins be at and what do they do?
Cheers Gavin

The other pins tell the injection pump how much fuel to deliver and at what time, based on the information the Engine Management Unit deduces from it's sensors, definately nothing to play with if you don't know EXACTLY what you're doing!

if it has got a keypad and it should have you cannot feed the solenoid direct the actual wires are to send coded messages to back of pump (under metal or plastic casing depending on pump) this in turn allows pump to unlock and open solenoid. DO NOT give 12v or damage unit.
