406 "T" reg HDi Lost dash

Post by mg46783 »

Guys, could really do with some help on this one if you can ,
This is an infernal dash problem.

Basically, the two green indicator lights are on permanantly, like stuck on, simultaeneously - though not flashing. The 'outside' indicators and hazards work on the outside as they should though you cant hear them clicking. Same with the hazards.

The oil light comes on and goes off as it should , the seatbelt light comes on and goes off - The door ajar light comes on and stays on all the time. No other lights.

In use / ie, ign on./eng running.. NO rev counter/speedo/fuel and temp gauge or mileometer (digital led ) Plus too, the wipers self park themselves in any old position! Ususally upright.
Interestingly, on diagnostic live data I get a correct rev reading !

The dash appears to have a correct supply & earth. So , if anyone could help Id appreciate it.. Thank you.

Hi
Tried a dash reboot?
Start the car & let it idle.
Remove the red & black shunt fuse from the fusebox with "SH" in white letters on it.
Wait at least 10 seconds before replacing this shunt.
All the gauges should go to max for a few seconds & then return to normal.
Good luck

Hi
As far as I know, Most of the Peugeots with digital dashes have the reboot feature built in.
Its worth a try before going to the dealer.
