Aussie Cit get together

Post by alan s »

There's a tradition out here whereby the Citroen car clubs have an annual get together at Easter referred to as a "Cit-in" where they all sit around discussing the years dramas in Citroenland.
Each year it's held in a different state and part of the thrill of course is the drive getting there.
This year, it was held in Perth Western Australia which is (without sounding like a lowng tawl Texan) possibly further in a car across uninhabited country than most people (myself included) can even imagine.
Scale it off a map and you'll see what I mean; it's almost another World. Apparently it was quite successful and here are some of the pics taken by one of the guys who went.
One member reckond he did about 12,000 klms on the trip which means I would have had to travel around 15,000+ a bit far for a social gathering.

Just as a bit of a giggle, take a look at this pic; Jon will see the significance now of a shirt I once sent him[:D][:D]

Do I detect an advanced case of 'Sphere envy' in the lower photo?

If it's the headlight covers you mean, that "may" be coincidence but more likey I'd say it was done purposely.
They need to have covers over the lights and guards on the windscreen in case they pass one of these coming towards them.
They can tend to toss a few rocks around.[:0][:0]
