I'm glad that you started this one Shane, I was actually considering a sort of "weird uses for old Citroen bits" topic along the same lines.
Here we see the bracket supporting our washing line, cunningly fashioned from an AX 1.1 headbolt cut in half and welded together to a piece of plate. Lots more later.

I've got a special trim removal tool, as well as a crankshaft locking pin with handle.
Also I've got an adapter for a slide hammer to remove crank pulleys.

i've got a very carefully shaped locking pin for the fly wheel, it fits straight into the hole on the diesel with the starter motor still in AND without having to loook! Made from an old BBQ tool!
I also have a square sump key fashioned from an old wheel bolt!
Clutch locator turned from hard wood by my dad in about 10 minutes with redicuous accuracy!
Actually i have a tray in a tool box just for dedicated 'special' tools!

Hi Guys,
I guess it's just the Citroen nutters that have to constantly "create" :)
Can anyone think of a reason this fool would cut a perfectly good 16/17mm offset spanner in half with a drop saw ??

Hint: This one was required for routine maitenance on an 8valve petrol BX

Here's another,
again used for a normal maitenance task on a BX:

This was once a phillips head screwdriver, it now has an "almost" square shaped shaft ('almost' because bench grinders aren't the best things to make squares with).

I have a special tool, for routine servicing of my ZX, its the tool you buy to remove the sump plug with square hole in it, welded to an old ring spanner, works a treat, as i was sick of dropping it in the oil! supprises me that they dont make it with a handle on it anyway!
