Hi
This is a commmon problem on the 306. It's likely that the wiring harness from the door to the door pillar is in poor condition. The wires become brittle and with the constant flexing they end up breaking down. I think this causes the CL to play up. Pull back the rubber boot on the loom and check for broken/breaking-up wires. It's tight in there, but you can often effect a repair. I think a new loom for the door costs around £300!
Do a forum search for this problem, as it has appeared before. Another solution is to get to a connector under the rear seat/boot carpet and join up two of the circuits... Like I said, search around - it's on this forum!
Good luck

Before doing anything else, try squirting some WD40 or spray grease into the drivers door lock. I did this and the problem disappeared! Be careful though as you can end up with oily marks on the door. I just put a bit in at a go over a few days.
Not guaranteed as the wiring can indeed go wrong but solved mine for the best part of a year! (Maybe longer, have sold it now).
