Andy, that's an inscription in another language. I was not saying anything. Can't you see it's in Italic?!!
And it's not latin or chinese but the language of the birthland of Citroens!

It basicaly says that there isn't much room in the bay (but its not in english right

), just seems like a totaly random post, if people wanted to see a DS bay surely they'ed go and look for one using google or something?

Well, I had some work in finding this picture...
Amongst other things, like organs location and concept, tt's interesting how the fact of using the spare wheel near the engine together with the car aerodynamics forces everything to be compacted in a car this size with such a small engine.

well isn't the compaction of the engine bay rather similar to the CX? i mean most of the engines arent as compacted in, but if you ttok the front foot of the nose you could get the engine into a much smaller space.
I seem to think there was a long era where the spare was in the engine bay in order to increase the boot space. I'd speculate that the tyre rubber of the time would disintegrate or perish being outside hence requiring shelter?
And even though the tyre is in the front requiring 'compression' of the ancillaries, it's hardly a technological revolution! The VW Beetle uses the nose hidden tyre to power the washer jets, now thats pretty cool (and stupid all the same!).
Still this is an english LANGUAGE forum, and your 'inscription' was far from english and without explanation! Personnaly i know very little French having been forced to learn Russian and German at a young age instead of French, russian is far more fun though!

... so it's a "full" engine bay. So what? Have you ever looked under the bonnet of a Jag e-type V12? Now that's a full engine bay.. or a 405 TD with ABS and A/C for that matter? Space in engine bays is a rare thing. The days of RWD ford escort engine bays, or an SD1 with the 4-cyl o-series are long gone.
If you must post this... surely it should be in "general chat"?
