Fuel Filter

Post by Simon H »

Hello All,
Can anyone tell me the correct way to (safely) dispose of a used fuel filter? I think to put it in with my household waste could be a danger to the bin men........
Any thoughts appreciated!

I must confess to putting mine in two plastic bags and dropping them in the wheelie, although I've noticed at the dump there is a bin for them alongside the waste oil tank.

I usually stuff paper into them, wrap them up in paper and put them into the box that the new filter came in. Use enough paper to absorb any fluid that may still be in them. If you're being picky you could put them in a plastic bag or two as well.

Many thanks JohnD & Kowalski, I will take it to the dump with my next lot of waste oil.
