central locking on the 98 1.9 td xantia

Hello peeps!!! just obtained a 98 1.9 td lx estate and the problem is when the drivers door is opened the 2 rear doors and the rear hatch locks but on closing the drivers door the rear doors and hatch unlock is this common on these plus when i use blip the door warning light comes on and after a short while the alarm sounds,this is the face lift model and i presume its the body computer thats at fault but with this been my first xantia im lost,thanx.paul.[:(]
