How do you program a Plip for a Xantia 1995 model?

Presuming it's the infrared one - Put your key in the ignition and turn it to the M position (one click). The using your fob press the first button (door locks) for about ten seconds whilst holding the fob close to the plip receiver near the rear view mirror. Make sure you point the fob at the plip and keep it close for good reception (a couple of inches away). Then switch your ignition to off and the fob should work, if not, keep on trying, it took me several attemps to get mine going (I went into double figures). Do the same for the second button.(alarm). I've heard some say that you should lock your doors before doing this, I didn't I think, I was too excited when it eventually worked to remember

If you only have the one key fob, do what I did and carefully remove the inner circuit board, it all comes out in one piece, and it still operates without the fob cover. You can then keep your key in the iginition and free up the fob. Good luck
