folks,
guess what i've done my trailing arm bearings today. what a mess the old ones were in, one side was all smashed up, bearing bit's everywhere.
also fitted 6mm grease nipples at the same time woohoo hopefully no more bearing changes.
had to loosen the rear suspenstion speares.
on refitting the rubber gatter that covers the piston on the end of the ram, thats the one that push's against the trailing arm, the rubber gatter spilt .
will be ordering replacments tommorrow, can anybody tell me if i can get these from andyspares or are they only from main dealer.
and any easy way to fit them as well, as it looks like a case of removal of the rear hydralic unit, is this true?
other than that it went ok, took in total about 8 hours to complete, well nearly just those gattors to refit. oh what fun
have fun

Good work fella!
We only do BX rear strut suspension gaiters at Andyspares. At the time of writing (kitchen table at home with bottle of beer) can't remember if BX gaiters are the same as Xantia ones.
As you can guess I do not have a Microfiche in my kitchen to check this fact.
I will try and look into this tomorrow.
