V6 with Chips

Unread post by zzf00l »

Does anyone have any experience in improving performance on the Xantia V6? Something simple like chipping, air filter etc.

They did with the 406 it is avalable with manual box and fly wheel (you will need both). you will also need to raid eather a xantia 2.1 or CT for the clutch actuator and pedels as there hydrolic. I figured while doing this it was easyer to buy an activa and just transfer the engine and interior.

Is the auto box that the C5 comes with any better than the Xantia one?

I thought the C5 had the AL4 box with the sequential change option. The new C5 has a six speed jobber! Supposed to be a lot smoother.

they may have changed it at some point then, i nearly bought a c5 v6 engine and it came with the same auto box I got with the 406/xantia.

There is a company in Germany that claims to do a chip for the Xantia V6, giving an extra 13 BHP. http://www.dbilas.de/English/dbilas.html
The engine certainly feels like it is being held back by the tuning.
