air con filter

hi all, is there a air filter for the air con system, as recently turned the system on and the air smell's very dusty....

What car & what year are we talking?
Normally there is a pollen filter fitted if the car has aircon, Normally found in the outside air intake in the scuttle under the wiper arms.
