ZX TD Exhaust

Post by VLL »

The front section of my exhaust (its the 2 part non cat exhaust), has started blowing today, it's cracked about 2/3 of the way round the pipe so is about to fall off.
Been around a few exhaust places today and the best price i can get is just over £60.
On GSF they have the exhaust listed as £36 but the question is will i need a gasket for between the pipe and the turbo or can i reuse the old one?
Do GSF sell the gaskets as i cant see them listed?

The turbo gasket is a ball joint and tends to have a lot of movement on it so it wears it also has to tolerate "manufacturing tolerances" in the exhaust pipes and will have worn to fit the old pipe.
It is best to replace it, I did one exhaust where I didn't replace it and it leaked around the joint so it had to be done in the end. The second exhaust I did, I replaced it as a matter of course.

So can GSF supply this ball joint or do I have to see if I can get one from local exhaust place?
