wobble on fron wheel

Dear sir,
I have a 1995 Xantia LX TD, when I accelerate especially 1st and second gear, the front wheels seem to wobble slightly but are ok at a faster speed. Anybody any idea's ?

Happened to me once when I had a front tyre carcass start to disintegrate internally. Isolated it with a front-to-back tyre swap. However, I guess that there could be other reasons for the shake.

I agree - most likely tyre/wheel - just possible driveshaft

Have to agree with the above, had similar problem 2 years ago, tuned out to be buckled front wheel (fine on the back of the car).

Saw a ZX in the inside lane on the motor way- I have never seen anything like it-his front tyre was visibly bouncing &wobbling/shaking all over the place of its own accord (by this I mean not with the contours of the road just bouncing freely!). Cant have been safe at all - would this have been caused by a knackered shock?
