Alloy wheel bolt taper on 405?

Unread post by dvhttn »

Hi,
Looking at getting some alloy wheel security bolts for the 405. The seller says they fit alloys with a 60 degree taper. Any idea if the original fit alloys have this taper? (I'll be able to measure it tomorrow but if someone knows that means I don't have to take a bolt out ..... :-) )
Cheers

if the wheels are standard 405 alloys, the bolts have 90 degree angle,as MATT says.

The 405 Alloy wheel bolts have a flat seating washer under the head of the bolt.
Bolts with a taper SHOULD NOT be used on alloy wheels.
The taper bolts are for the STEEL wheels.
Dont mix them up!

Thanks for the help. These were cheap security bolts from Ebay but, to be fair, I emailed the seller and he did say that he didn't know if they would fit OEM wheels.
Anyone know a cheap(ish) source of allot wheel security bolts?
Cheers
