pug stereo problems anyone help asap?

hya,
i've a 405 quasar diesel the radio has been disconnected and i've entered a wrong code in 3 times and now the radio is showing SECURTY on the display,but i've just rung the dealer and they've given me the right code,is there anyway of clearing the SECURTY so i can enter the RIGHT code
any help/advice will be gratefully recieved

cant be 100% sure!is it a clarion unit?
try leaving the ignition and stereo turned on for at least 30 mins.
the stereo should reset it self enabling you to put in correct code!

You get 3 attempts at putting the code in, Get it wrong & it locks out for 30 minutes & displays "SECURITY"
Leave the ignition on untill the radio resets.
NOTE: The lock out times doubles after every 3 wrong codes are entered, Put 3 more wrong codes in & it will lock out for 1 hour, Then 2 hours, 4 hours etc.

hya again,
right had the radio on now for over 1 hour and it's still showning SECURITY on the display,but i've only entered the code in wrong 3 times
any idea's?

Hmmm, Never had "SECURITY" up on the display for more then 30 minutes myself, I have had the radio go in to french! I got "SECURICL" or something similar, lol
Try pressing a button, Button 5 or the BND / Band button, Switching it off & back on.
Or try leaving it a little bit longer.
