Hello!
I have been given a nice CX 25 RD Familiale and have some problems with it (nobody gives away a perfect car [:D]!). You can see it here: http://jvgavila.com/cx.htm
One of the problems is rear suspension, which is completely gone (height is OK but it is hard as a rock [:(] ). I wonder if somebody could help me finding correct replacement ones and also depicting a bit the procedure to change them.
Thanks and best regards,
JOSE
1985 CX 25 RD Familiale rear spheres?

Hi Jose -
Our host GSF has kindly provided a sphere table here :
http://www.gsfcarparts.com/downloads/sphere_table.pdf
You will find the sphere for all type CX Estates in this table.
Replacing the sphere can be a nightmare because of one single reason :
the locking pin in the suspension arm is seized - even completely gone - by rust.
You will have to remove the suspension cylinder complete with sphere to remove the sphere. This requires you remove the lock pin.
You can see the lock pin from inside. If still there carefully rock it back and forth until it comes loose. Any tools or violence and the pin will snap.
The CX and XM is BTW exactly the same construction in the rear suspension.
