OK, I'm mug enough to ask. If you can download the management software to your PC, what are you going to do with it?

If i have the software on my laptop, i can buy the correct cable and connect it to the car's computer...
Sounds logical enough???

if you can get this woring then you can check out problems as they happen also you cna do in depth testing of the cars systems and tell if a fault is lightly to occure. i've been after this for ages, but to my knowlage no one dose anything that you can put onto a laptop.

This any use? Your cars may not be on the standard but future ones will be. I seem to remember there are cables etc somewhere on the site.

its a stanalone fault finder, it would be nice to find one that works like the VAG ones ware all the sensor readings are avaalbe and viewable in real time. i cant remember what the modual is called.
even the BX's ecu is readable on that system that is linked above. it basicaly uses a morse coad type output from the memory stored on the ECU.

Thank you, Wonderd, for the information and please excuse my ignorance. I assumed by "management software" that you were referring to the program that was loaded onto the engine management chip, which takes in various parameters like engine speed, air temp, throttle opening etc and uses that info to control fuel flow and ignition timing. I had visions of you altering the program and reprogramming the chip!
