xantia - wing mirror

Post by stevieO »

Apologies - put this wrongly in the for sale/wanted folder. Late last night, some idiots decided it would be good fun to rip mirrors off lots of cars in my road including mine. I'm now on the search for a new driver's door mirror. Once found, question is will it be easy to fit. Hayes Man says you have to remove the door trim. Any ideas, as I'm sure there are forum members who have done this before.-

Not the same car but it can' be too different. Xsara, remove black plastic trim (carefully) un screw all 3 screws remove from car. Replace as easy. There is a topic on this forum, try a search under 'wing mirror' or simalar.

Removing and fitting the mirror is pretty straightforward, the Haynes book is pretty accurate (for once ;)). You'll need a good selection of Torx bits, and if it's a cable-operated mirror, lube up the cables before fitting.
