Xantia nose riding too high

Post by naxia »

Hiyas Guys,
I have a Xantia 1.9td LX, well basic!!!!, the thing is though that nose seems to be too high and it makes it an uncomfotable ride, it is on standard setting!
When i raise it to centre hight the rear end end rises to get the level but the front doesnt move as its already there, and when i drop it back down to standard the rear drops but the front doesnt.
Pumps seem nice and smooth and quick enough and i replaced the two suspention spheres with no affect
any ideas???? thanks

It would appear that the front height corrector is stuck. Try moving the height lever to its lowest position which should drop the car, then move the lever back to the normal position. Do this with the engine running.
If this doesn't sort it then you will need to get under the car, be careful and make sure the car is fully supported on ramps for instance as it may well drop on you and give you a flat head, literally.
Try doing a search on this forum for 'height corrector' and you will find a huge amount of information.
