Hi Guys,
I've got a problem with a Citroen AX, it doesn't like warm starting.
It starts from cold every time but if I drive it just 5 mins down the road it wont restart. Happens about half the time.
What I've noticed is the Engine Autodiagnostic lamp turns on every time I put the key in the ignition but havent started the engine yet but doesn't turn on the times it wont start.
When it fails to start I can hear it turning over but just wont get going. If I wait 5 mins for the car to cool down then the Engine Autodiagnostic lamp turns back on and I can start the engine again.
Its just had a full service and MOT was 2 months ago.
Any ideas?

The light comes on when the car isn't running to let you know the bulb is OK. If it doesn't come on then you certainly do have a problem. I'll investigate on my own car.
Having said that every orange bulb on the dash lights up on my car all the time so it might not be the best source of information. From the brake warning lamp to the engine management they're always coming on. Still goes and stops though!!
