Interesting that, Shell used to be the most expensive around London, now its one of the cheapest. It also give me the best MPG so I always look to fill up with it whenever possible.

Shell diesel, Manchester 83.9 was 80.9 but has gone back up over past couple of weeks.
Total diesel, Widnes Cheshire - currently 84.9p
I use the shell one the majority of the time though...

Maths time? [}:)] [;)]
Fill up at 81P a litre.. then after 120 miles (ish) add 6 litres of supermarket oil at approx 42p a litre [:I]... repeat top up at next 120 miles [:o)] [:I].. Run untill almost empty, then check miles when finaly refilling with diesel again at 81P a litre.. Do the maths.. Works out quite well huh? heh heh... [:D]
Further to a topic on my experiments with oil-diesel mix, my car (mod Avantage) performs better on a mixture, on the downside it does use a bit more fuel, but nothing like enough to offset the difference in cost.. 50-50 mix still works out approx 20% cheaper.. [^]
I can buy in 3 litre bottles locally, and all I (do)did was just pour it into the fuel tank, and throw the empty plastic bottle into the bin.. [:D]
