206 Quicksilver Fog Light Removal

Hi,
I've got a 2002 206 Quicksilver with a smashed front fog lamp. I tried to take it off at the weekend and failed!
I found the bolt that secures the lamp to the bumper, but could not work out how to remove to top two struts that it then pivots on when the bolt is removed.
If anyone knows how to do this, then can you please let me know. I now wonder if the whole bumper has to come off to get tot he back of the struts, although this seems a little excessive.
