Round Headlights

Post by jono »

I can remember seeing BXs with after market fit twin round headlights. I never found out where I could buy them from. Anybody know? It would be nice to fit twin rounds to my Xantia then I could see where I was going and not where Ive been.

Hi.. I have seen these mentioned on here somewhere...and there is a link to the supplier. they could (or can) be found but they are around 350 quid for both lights. They do look good though!

Never wanted one myself (I had a GS) but do recall being much impressed by the simple old 2CV setup with lights on a bar that dipped or swivelled them up.

Fwiw, I did once crack a rib because of the lights on a Ford 100E.

(fell onto the damned thing while helping to push it)

Jono,
they are usually made by Morette, BX ones pop up on ebay every now and then.
I'm pretty sure Cituning sell them for the Xantia, suspect the uptake wasn't high though:

All BX's sold in the USA and Canada had twin round headlights, so they must have been a standard Citroën fitting - not that that helps, seeing how short-term Citroën appear to think when it comes to supplying spares for out-of-market models.

For some reason they show the XM hex headlamp conversion on the picture. Still looks good though.

Set of left hand drive ones just went for £40, right hand drive ones seem to go for lots more. Why not get some fablon and make some chav ones?;)
