Hi,
I want to check and clean front HC for Xantia ’95
Can someone tell me its whereabouts on front and how to recognise it? Also best way to clean it to ensure it’s operating properly?
I’m using a pit and aware of safety precautions when under Xant concerning it dropping.

Steve,
You'll find it located roughly in the centre of the car connected to the anti-roll bar. Its not too easy to see, you will need to look from the rear towards the front.
Don't be confused with the Hydractive sensor which is also clamped onto the rollbar in a similar fashion but is found on the O/S of the rollbar.
To clean it most say to spray it with WD40 over the linkage which can become stiff if the suspension is not 'exercised' regularly.
If it is working correctly then the front of the car (with the engine running) will rise/fall in accordance with the movement of the height lever within the car.
