hi can anyone help me with my alarm its a standard fit citroen alarm the plip activates the central locking ok but dosnt seem to activate the alarm can the alarm be switched of in anyway ? or how can i test it ?

Try pulling the fuse/fuses out.Sometimes mine just stops working,if i pull the main power fuse back out,it usally starts working again.Or,disconnect the main battery for 10mins or so.Make sure you have the stereo code though.You may find that the alarm activates as soon as you connect the battery again.
Both these methods work on my Xantia.Worth a try.

Alarm might have been switched off by previous owner?

Is there a off key on these under the bonnet,by the bulk head???I know Xantias up to a certain age had this feature,maybe the Saxo has.
Just a thought...

previous owner had a new battery put on cant find any evidence of an off switch has any one had experience with saxo in particuler ?thanks for help so far j

Does the alarm siren sound when the battery is disconnected?
It should do, Its a battery back up siren & unless its been turned off or its faulty ( No that never happens with a PSA / Texton alarm! ) it will sound as the battery is disconnected.
