Video or Pictures of your car

Post by VLL »

Found these old videos I took ages ago of my ZX (and a couple of some previous cars), so thought I would stick them on the web for all to see.

Here you are. First one is ~25mph in 3rd to ahem speed (dont condone speeding etc, wasnt me driving), the small bang as it goes under the bridge is the overun as it goes into 5th at 105
http://homepages.nildram.co.uk/~visa/videos/driveby.avi (yes i did slap my friend for not turning his mobile off!)
Second one is accelerating around and off a large roundabout hence no traction in first, when camera lifts up after ~15seconds its at 6800 in 4th which is about 102, so faily nippy to that speed. My old zx 16v took 24 seconds to hit 100 http://homepages.nildram.co.uk/~visa/vi ... esting.avi

Pretty cool, reminds me of when my dad used to have his old Visa GT, only yours is faster, much faster!!!
Think we need more people to post this kind of stuff.

Yea but i'm talking about around 1987-88 here, me being about 12years old sitting between the seats (before all these bloody laws), i remember it feeling fast.
What i meant was seeing your Visa from outside reminded me of my dads old GT, havent seen a Visa on the road round here for years now.

Only time ive seen a GT was in Chamoniox in France. I last saw a Visa in December. Not made them for 18 years now although you can still buy the C15 van!

Got some pictures here of when I did the heater matrix on my ZX TD. I plan to put allot more ZX pictures up , but I though I'd start with the technical bits.

Well my hat comes off to anyone with the technical know-how and confidence to change the heater matrix on a citroen.
Any problems at all when you did this job Dave?

HAHAHAHAHA, thats the best set of photos ive seen for a while, im glad someone else has experienced the joys of doing the ZX heater matrix (and actually had the patience to take photos!). The fairy tale book was quite good when I got the chance to do one, although it still gives much frustration! (I went to practice on one in a scrap yard first, make sure I didnt break mine!)
I have some pics of my car on my website...
