First thing you need is the unique four digit code for your unit. I was given the wrong one when I bought my Xantia, but used this site to get the correct one:-

If the unit is locked (following the insertion of the incorrect code more than 3 times) you will need to leave it "powered up" for upto 3 hours before it will let you attempt to re enter the code again. BE WARNED - if you fluff up again - it will lock up for another 3 hours. I believe after 10 attempts it siezes solid ("refer to your Citroen Dealer" is teh expression in the manual) though I stand to be corrected on this.

Tell me the radio's model/serial number and I'll tell you what the original code was (check also for any stickers which can be affixed warning if its been recoded for any reason - like being permanently locked previously). It sounds as though you think you know the correct code - so if my code is the same you'll be very confident its the right one.
