306 GTI 6 vs ZX Valver

Post by adrian »

Does any one know what the difference in peformance is between a 1994 Citroen zx 16v and A 1997 Peugeot 306 GTI 6? My Mate owns the zx 16v (louis1) and i will be getting my 306 GTI 6 in a few days. We will find out the difference (Of Course!) on our own private test track (we would not dream of doing this on the public road haha!)
Any comments/ideas?
Thanks
Adrian.

ZX 16 valve left the factory with 155BHP ( Unless its one of the special P reg 6 that got the 167BHP lump ) & the 306 GTI 6 left the factroy with 167 BHP & an extra gear to play with.

I would think that in a sprint, they would proberly be evenly matched, maybe even the Zx having the better of the 306.The 306 is proberly a bit more heavy than the ZX,with the extra safety gear etc.sO The extra power wouldn`t make any difference. The extra gear would make a difference as well, with the gearing being a bit lower than the ZX i would say.Foe example,if you could hit 60 mph in 3rd in the ZX,the 306 would need 4th.1 less gearchange in a straight line race=quicker time.
