Timing belt renewal, Should I?
hello!
I snook this in the Cit section its actually a Peugeot 205 but its the same engine they put in the 1.0 ax so... its nto that bad really...
Anyway, the wife has a 205, i know the timing belt was changed by the previous owner but i dont know when or at what mileage as the doofus didnt date the invoice... clever...[B)]
its got 78k on the clock at the moment, would you think it a good idea to change the belt??

My eBay AX Diesel - previous owner swore blind cam belt had been done at 50K, no receipts though.
Took cover off and nealy parped my pants at the perished bit of rubber that was there. Took a day of swearing and bleeding knuckles and several curses at everyone involved in the Haynes BOL (which didnt actually cover the 1.5D in any great depth).
Get it done, or buy a spare engine....[;)]
