Wrong Code entered

i entered a wrong digit in my radio code on 1995 xantia turbo diesel. I tried disconnecting the battery, but no. It keeps displaying the wrong code 1211 on the screen, but doesnt allow me the option of putting in the right one. Any ideas ppl?

I think that each time you try an incorrect code, the radio locks for a longer period of time, eventually totally locking. I think that you could be waiting for hours !

Have you pressed button no 6 yet?
You need to press that in order to 'validate' the code entered, that is unless yours is the most basic version of the radio.

If you've reached the final stage of protection (i.e. entered the wrong code more than three times) then you have to have the radio turned on for at least three hours continuosly (i.e. with ignition turned on) before the "code" sign appears in the display again. Make sure you have the right code next time!
