On the inlet side I assume the air comes in in the centre and comes out at the outside of the spiral - right?
I'm trying to understand the piping on my engine, which is ex-xantia, and how to plumb it in to an expert. I've spent a long time looking at all the pics on the online catalogue:
http://www.elcats.ru/peugeot/
here is the layout shown there: (what is the extra small pipe for btw? is that the thing that connects the turbo to the injection boost mechanism?)

This shows the turbo input being on the nearside. However the Xantia KKK turbo I have has the inlet on the offside. It doesn't look like it can be fitted the other way round.
I was assuming they were always the same way round but maybe not?
Does anyone know which way round the turbo normally is on an expert or 806? What about other cars?
Ultimately the air pipes can be made to work by making up some custom ones but the exhaust pipe could be a problem - I'm not sure how easy making up a custom exhaust will be...
