Hi guys, just a note to say that PSA Peugot Citroen have just sold their Panhard side of their company. This of course is a sad ending to Citroen-Panhard relationship. It also means that you will no longer be able to buy an armoured car from Citroen.

To whom did they sell it? Panhard build some fine cars once upon a time - the apotheosis of the two-cylinder engine! Would love to own a Panhard 24..... one of the few cars ever to approach the Ami6 in beauty.

They have sold Panhard to a company called Auverland, Europe's biggest military vehicle manfacturer. Panhard had sales of over €61 million in 2003, so not to be sniffed at.

The same goes for those who morn the loss of Alvis - they don't make anything under about 15 tons now, mind you the amphibious Salamander could be useful i rush-hour traffic!
