Xantia Rear Suspension

Hi all, new to this forum.
Have just been reading up on here about Xantia rear suspension.
For the last couple of days, my 1997 1.9TD SX has only gone to the highest or lowest settings.
I checked the linkage, which was fine, but there is a small plastic clip thing that connects to a stud above the linkage point. When I put this back on it was fine, and it settled out at the ride level, but it keeps coming back off, and the suspension goes back to high or low. There were no leaks that I could find on the spheres, and when its in the mid position, it rides really well.
Is there a way to keep it on, or do I need to get a new one?
Great forum by the way. Just wish I had found it before I paid a local garage £110 to fix the dreaded clutch cable clip!!
I'll have a go myself if it goes again!!

Get a new one, and keep some spares, cost peanuts, new ones come with a spring clip to hold them on, but if they need that they are buggered anyway.
