Ax Balljoint Fitting

What is the correct way to fit the front lower balljoint to an ax ? I managed to remove the old one ,But I'm having trouble tring to fit the new one ,any advice most welcome

take off the wish bone,get a vise, find a pipe the size of the joint and just hammer it until its home.....
