ZX starter motor location

Hawo everyone!
My old man has prob, the car wont turn over from turning the key, but if you short the solinoid out on the positive batt terminal, it turns and starts! dont think its a starter motor problem, but sounds like it isnt getting a feed, so thinking relay? if so where the hell is it hid!

had the same problem with a bx, and the same problem with a zx, which were the ignition switch. (apparently they are common to go)
