Let us all know how you get on. I might be in the market for one of these myself soon.

Look in the ads in the rear of magazines like Lax Mower - plenty of ICE suppliers make adapter plates. Just take your pick.
40 quid is criminal and TBH, do you want a Halfords monkey near your beloved? Argos do free fitting on a lot of their stereos, so Halfords can't really justify that price. TBH - it's an easy DIY fit anyway.

Hi Tony, I've got the same car as you, bought the Fascia and lead adaptor from Autoleads, cost about £32 all together if my memory serves. It took me two hours to fit (Sony head unit). Worth every penny once the job was done.

Hi there nice to see people being sent to the dealer for cheaper parts , only one problem, I have tried to buy the adaptor plate from citroen. Four dealers refused to accept the fact they sold them, gave up and bought autoleads. I've just got an empty plip case from Citroen £ 9 odd inc rivet set , only took three parts people numerous mentions of this forum and getting them to get the part numbers from france before they could order it , is it any wonder they are always quiet. regards john.

Many Cit dealers are now saying they dont carry the face plate adaptor - and you should try and get the genuine citroen item as this has a rather nice dampened spring cover - also its the only one that comes with the surround trim for the heater controls - without which your install will look pants.

Got to say. I use 3 different Citroen parts counters depanding where I am at the time. I made an effort to get to know the names of most of the parts staff and now have no problesm at all when I do visit. I found the Cit dealer local to my works to bend over backwards and has answerd several techno questions and given me print out from the computers they use.

Does anyone have a Cot part number for it? I'm sure I saw it before, but can't find the post. If so, one for the "Tips" forum?

The part number appears to be 96118897ZL. It should be £33.81 + VAT - considerably more than the one for a ZX, which is about a tenner!
You're probably better off at Halfords, or the ebay one (which I see you've bid on - good luck!).
