Hydraulic Reservoir tank

Hi new to forum have read lots, learnt lots and now I have a minor problem. I have a 94 1.9td xantia. I topped up my reservoir this morning but the cap came away in my hand complete with the pipe. Easy to put the cap back but cannot find where the end of the pipe goes. Any clues would be greatly appreciated.[:0]

It's just a breather, lean it behind the tank

It hangs loosely at the side of the tank, goes nowhere
